DJI Pilot is an Android application that allows users to effectively control some models of industrial drones. The utility is the official mobile client of a well-known eponymous brand.
Compatibility and functions
This app is compatible with the following drone models:
- Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced;
- Mavic 2 Enterprise Series;
- Phantom 4 RTK;
- Matrice 200 Series V2;
- others.
The main options of the utility are:
- taking photos and videos in real-time;
- transferring an image from a drone to a smartphone screen;
- aircraft control;
- manage camera operation modes;
- photo and video recording.
In addition, the application allows you to update the drone software.
With this utility, users can start recording photos and videos in HD quality. It is possible to configure the camera: zoom in and out of the image, change modes, and so on.
You can pre-create a route by setting points on the map. Also, you may set the flyby area. In this case, the application plans the flight of the drone automatically. There is a possibility to select the interval with which the quadrocopter conducts aerial photography.
Additional options
This utility supports the import of KML files containing previously created routes. The interface of the app supports English, Chinese and Japanese. It is compatible with other DJI software such as DJI Flight Hub.
Please note that the application is able to work offline without an Internet connection. In this case, all data is stored on the smartphone. The utility sends warnings to the user about the presence of aircraft or helicopters near the drone.
