Ford SYNC is an application for Android devices that allows you to synchronize with the onboard computer system of a car of the same brand. The utility allows you to manage it.
Synchronization
At the start, users need to synchronize their smartphones with the Ford SYNC onboard computer system. It is important to turn on Bluetooth, similar to EasyDiag.
The application has a user manual that has been read in order to operate the onboard computer system.
Control
A Phrasebook section is provided. It contains basic voice commands, which allow you to control some of the car’s functions.
The onboard computer has access to the phone book and contact list. It is possible to make calls, determine the subscriber’s number, and set personal ringtones using voice commands.
In addition, the SYNC system gets access to SMS messages. There is a possibility to convert them into audio.
You may stream any music tracks played on the phone to the car’s audio system. Moreover, you can manage them – go to the next and previous as well as pause. There is an opportunity to control music playback from USB devices.
The application provides users with access to the support service. A separate tab has a contacts list for each country.
Notes
Please note that the app is not compatible with all smartphone models. In addition, the Ford SYNC onboard system is only installed on certain vehicle models. Therefore, first, you need to make sure that your car and mobile device support them.
