PlayStation Family is an Android companion app that helps parents manage gaming on PS4 and PS5. You can set playtime schedules, guide online access, and see what your kids are playing—all from your phone.
Setup and controls
Create child accounts with age-based recommendations. Set daily playtime windows and monthly spending limits. Choose which games are allowed by age level, and adjust online features like voice chat and user-generated content. You can make exceptions for specific titles when needed.
Activity and insights
The Home tab shows who’s online and what they’re playing now. A “Playtime for Today” dial tracks time played, remaining time, and the allowed hours for the day. The Activity screen adds a weekly playtime chart and most-played games, so you can spot patterns and talk about healthy screen time.
Notifications and approvals
Get real-time notifications when your kids request extra time. Approve or decline directly in the app. The bottom bar gives quick access to Home, Notifications, and Settings.
