Zenith Token is an Android application developed by Zenith Bank, well-known in Nigeria. This tool is designed to enhance the security of electronic transactions with One-Time Passwords or OTPs.
Purpose
The app serves as a digital alternative to traditional hardware tokens. The primary function of this utility is to generate OTPs – unique, time-sensitive codes used to authenticate electronic transactions. Thus, only authorized users can complete sensitive operations such as fund transfers or account modifications.
Activation
Please note that you can activate the app with several methods:
- hardware token, that requires an account number, a 4-digit server PIN, and a code;
- debit card, that requires the last six digits of a Zenith Bank-issued ATM card and the 4-digit PIN;
- quick access by visiting a Zenith Bank branch to obtain an activation code for registration.
Users can reset or change their PIN directly within the app without needing to visit a bank branch. The utility also caters to corporate clients.
It is worth noting that to activate Zenith Token, you need to pay a one-time activation fee of ₦1500. The app integrates with other Zenith Bank services, such as mobile banking apps and eNaira wallets.
