AadhaarFaceRd is an application for Android devices that allows users to go through the biometric authentication procedure. This service is for Indian citizens only. It offers them to scan their face to identify Aadhaar ID.
Purpose
This application is official. It was developed in collaboration with Unique Identification Authority Of India. Service helps to perform biometric authentication of a person using a face scan. The resulting snapshot is compared with the owner of the UID number.
The service is used to verify citizens. If someone’s face completely matches the image stored in the state database, the person is considered verified.
How to use
This application has brief instructions on its use. The persons need to look directly into the frame, without tilting their head forward, backward, or to the sides, in order for the face scan to be as correct as possible.
It is also desirable that the face is close to the camera and occupies the maximum part of the screen. Users should be in a well-lit area with a neutral background.
Scanning
Scanning takes place within a few seconds. The application is synchronized with the state database and compares the picture with the user’s photos in it. The result of the utility will stop the message that the user’s identity has been confirmed.
