Ampath is an Android application that provides users with test results from the eponymous Southern Africa’s pathology laboratory. You can download them to your mobile device as well.
Registration
In order to access the application you have to register first. You will need a South African ID or passport. It is also necessary to verify your phone number.
Please note that certain test results that require interpretation will not be made available to you and can only be obtained via your Doctor.
Results
The application allows you to check your personal test results from Ampath. It is a Southern Africa’s pathology laboratory that provides medicine services to healthcare practitioners and patients. There is a wide selection of fields you can test yourself in. These include allergy, cancer, cardiac, genetic, hormone, infectious disease, STD and various others.
Your results will appear in the app automatically as soon as they are available. You will see a collection date, provider and the type of test you took. It is possible to save the info to your phone as a PDF file.
In addition, there is a memo on COVID-19. If you want to avoid having this disease, try downloading Covid Alert SA. It will let you know about nearby people with a positive test.
