BALTA is an application for Android devices that is the official mobile client of the eponymous insurance company. The utility is designed for residents of Latvia who have taken out a medical insurance policy.
Getting started
At the start, you need to register and provide some personal data, including a bank account, phone number, and email address. Also, you have to enter your health insurance card number. This app allows you to store it electronically. In addition, to protect information from access by third parties, it is necessary to come up with a PIN code or apply biometric authentication.
Requests
Users can submit a claim for reimbursement not only for themselves but also for other insured persons. To do this, the application provides a special form that needs to be filled out. It is possible to attach receipts for visiting doctors, purchasing medicines, and paying for medical services. This utility helps to take pictures of checks with the camera of a mobile device.
Before submitting an application, you have to carefully check and correct it. After pressing the Confirm button, your request will be sent to an employee of the BALTA insurance company.
This utility allows you to track the progress of your claim. After the refund decision is made, the app notifies you about it.
Furthermore, you can view all your policies. It is possible to change them and purchase additional services. Also, you may apply for compensation for other types of insurance. The utility keeps the history of your requests in a separate tab.
