CarePlix Vitals is an Android application that is designed for users who want to monitor their health. The utility allows them to use their smartphone to determine their pulse, oxygen saturation, and respiratory rate. It is developed and clinically tested in India and is registered with the CDSCO.

Scanning
The principle of operation of this app is based on the method of photoplethysmography. This optical technology allows the camera of a mobile device to scan your finger through the light. So you can determine the fullness of the capillaries with blood and, accordingly, calculate the pulse, respiratory rate, and oxygenation level.
To use the application, you need to read the instructions and click the Scan button. Next, touch your smartphone’s camera with your finger and turn on the flash.
The scanning process takes 30-40 seconds. During this time, the application calculates the pulse, the level of oxygen, and the respiratory rate according to the fullness of the capillaries. The data is displayed on the screen. The utility keeps the history of measurements. It is possible to view it in the form of graphs.
