Comrades Marathon is an application for Android devices that allows users to follow the course of the ultramarathon of the same name, which is held in South Africa. This utility is the official mobile client of a well-known sporting event, just like Hayaa to Qatar 2022.
Opportunities
The application offers users the following options:
- tracking the movement of marathon participants in real time;
- viewing an interactive map of the route;
- access to the leaderboard information that is constantly changing;
- viewing basic information about participants.
Users can track both one or several athletes at the same time. At the start, they have to enter the names of the participants. It will help to access their profile and view their photo, age, as well as the country. Moreover, it is possible to track their progress along the marathon route in real time in the Tracker tab.
There is a separate section Leaders, where the standings are displayed. The Map section allows you to view the route in all details.
Additional options
This utility allows you to calculate the speed of the runner and determine the estimated time to complete the marathon. It is possible to receive notifications about the selected participants.
There is a Latest news tab where users can get information about the marathon events. Also, users can go to the official online store and purchase Comrades branded merch.
