CoWIN is an application for Android devices designed for vaccinators, supervisors, and inspectors. With the utility, medical staff can control the process of COVID-19 immunization. This tool is developed in cooperation with the Government of India.
Getting started
At the start, you need to register by entering your mobile phone number and password. It is important to select your status: supervisor, inspector, or vaccinator. Also, you have to enter the state and city.
Opportunities
On the main page of the app, there is a dashboard that provides access to all the functions of the utility. You are able to register beneficiaries – recipients of vaccines. It is necessary to enter their mobile phone numbers and also AADHAAR. This helps to accurately identify users and avoid duplicates.
In addition, verification of recipients needs to be carried out. Recipients have to name the OTP code that came to the mobile phone number they indicated. Moreover, biometric verification is possible via fingerprint scanning or Face ID.
After vaccination, it is necessary to notify how many doses the recipient received. This information is transmitted to the state database. Based on this data, users can receive certificates.
The application keeps statistics on vaccinations. It is possible to count the number of recipients and the sessions performed. This data is displayed in the form of charts. In addition, you can note the presence of adverse events after immunization.
