This application is basically a Dakota-English dictionary. The service is faster and more responsive than the alternative online versions. It can work in offline mode, without any active data connection. This is the ultimate digital reference and self-study tool.
Dakhod Iapi Wichoie Wowapi allows you to search for words in English or Dakota language. There is a built-in keyboard with special characters for this purpose. However, you can use the external one, such as SwiftKey.
Each entry has a pronunciation audio with both male and female voices from native speakers. There is a consistent phonemic spelling as well.
How to use
There are two ways to find entries. You can use the search bar or tap on any word in the entry window to see the corresponding results. Clicking on “Full Search” will provide a full list of possible entries you might be looking for.
Furthermore, there is an Approximate search option that will help find relevant entries even if you spelled the word incorrectly. It is also possible to copy and paste by word or line as well as save favorites.
