DashCommand is an Android utility that helps users to check the status of a vehicle’s modules on a smartphone screen. This application reads data from the car’s onboard electronic systems in real-time using a special OBD2 Bluetooth adapter.
Usage Details
It is important to note that the app is compatible with several types of third-party hardware. You can find a list of supported adapters within the app.
Diagnostics
The results of the vehicle diagnostics are displayed on the DashCommand screen. Users can check vehicle performance, diagnose electronic modules, reset error codes, view the engine status, as well as fuel level and consumption.
Additionally, there is data from key sensors displayed in the form of numbers or gauge indicators. A virtual dashboard is shown on the screen for this purpose.
Trips
It is possible to use DashCommand as a tablet during trips. The app offers easy access to Google Maps, displaying location, route, acceleration and braking periods. There are notifications about the car’s pitch and roll angles. You can calculate fuel consumption and determine the distance to the closest gas station. The utility allows you to find out the fuel level as a percentage, the coolant temperature, and the engine RPM.
This software saves the history of trips for future use. Furthermore, all vehicle diagnostic data is saved in special logs.
