DiDi Rider is an Android application that is designed to order a taxi. The utility allows you to select a destination on the map and get directions. The service operates in various cities in 17 countries around the world.
Registration
At the start, you need to create an account by entering a phone number and email address. After authorization, you are able to order a ride. To do this, you need to turn on GPS navigation.
Rides and map
The app determines your location and allows you to get directions using the built-in map. In addition, the utility helps to pre-calculate the cost of the trip.
It is possible not only to indicate the location on the map but also to enter the destination manually. The service selects the nearest car and allows you to track its movement. The driver’s photo, as well as car number and color are displayed.
Additional options
You may share the route with friends and family. For this, there is a Trusted Contacts section.
The service sends your loved ones an SMS with a link to the map. Thus, they can follow the movement of the taxi in real-time, and you may feel safe while traveling.
For trips with children, there is a special kids rate. Please note that it is not available in all cities.
