DigiD is an application for Android devices designed to digitally identify users and protect their personal data. The utility is developed jointly with the Dutch government and is intended only for citizens of this country.
How to use
With this tool, you can identify yourself on the Internet and thus gain access to various government digital services, such as tax or customs administration. First, you need to request your DigiD via the app or fill out a special form on the eponymous website. You have to specify the citizen service number BSN, registration address, mobile phone number, and also the email to which the activation code will be sent.
Additionally, you will receive information on how to restore access to DigiD. The activation code must be entered into the app. After that, you can use this utility to log into various services.
Notes
Please note that this app requests access to your IP address and the unique identifier of your smartphone. In addition, you need to come up with a five-digit PIN code to protect access to the utility. Thus, you get a digital identity card that allows you to quickly enter various government websites and services.
