Drifta is an application for Android devices developed to be used with Drifta Mobile Decoder. With its help, users can watch DStv or GOtv DVB-H live channels from their phone.
Functionality
The application is made to be used with Drifta Mobile Decoder. It allows users to access DStv or GOtv DVB-H pay-TV service and watch live broadcasts. All you have to do is simply plug the device into the micro USB port of your phone and launch the utility. Please note that your smartphone should run at least Android version 4.0 and support OTG mode.
After all of the above is done, you will be able to watch TV channels and content with a built-in media player. There is also a broadcast program with a schedule of the upcoming shows. If you experience any error with your Drifta, you may reset it. To do this, you can unplug the device from your phone, wait 10 seconds and then re-plug it back in.
Present status
It was found out that Drifta Mobile Decoder was discontinued in 2018 due to being outdated. The DStv DVB-H television was shut down as well. Therefore, the application is not supported anymore.
However, the service has evolved into the modern online streaming platform called DStv. It provides various channels, shows and movies to watch.
