Droid Inventor is an entertainment application for Android that allows users to build a toy of a well-known droid character from the Star Wars franchise.

The utility features step by step instructions for building a toy version of R2-D2 from the scratch. Users can learn how to put the pieces together and configure droid settings. At the beginning it may look quite difficult to assemble circuits. However, Droid Inventor offers to check tips that may help to properly complete the process of constructing.
There are pictures that show you how to attach the legs to the main body of the droid. Moreover, you can customize a design a little bit for your R2-D2. There are red, blue and white stickers. The application allows you to see where you need to put these labels.
Missions and activities
After you build your R2-D2, you can activate the droid and control it with your smartphone. There is an option to make the toy move, avoid obstacles and perform simple tasks. SImilar to Sphero BB 8, this app also allows you to play funny and adorable sounds known among all Star Wars fans.
