DroidSheep is an application for mobile devices on the Android platform that allows you to intercept web sessions. The utility scans the available Wi-Fi connection and displays a list of current sessions on the screen.
Requirements
For the app to work properly, it is necessary to obtain superuser rights on the mobile device. In their absence, it is impossible to use the DroidSheep functionality at its full potential. The smartphone needs to be connected to the same Wi-Fi as the devices whose web sessions will be intercepted.
Opportunities
The utility is an analog of the Firesheep service for Android devices. Its work starts after connecting to a Wi-Fi network and pressing the appropriate button on the main page. Scanning takes some time, after which a list of current web sessions appears on the screen. Next, you can click on any of them and, thus, go to the web page on behalf of the person whose session is selected.
It is possible to intercept all types of seance, except for those that use SSL and TLS. The utility supports WEP, WPA, and WPA2 encrypted networks.
Remark
This application is not intended for actions capable of harming any person. Clients use the utility at their own risk and under their full responsibility. The developers claim that DroidSheep is exploratory in nature.
