Edmodo is the official Android application developed by the service of the same name. The utility is a tool that helps to organize distance learning. With the help of the platform, you can create interaction between teachers and students. It is possible to publish posts, schedule lessons and communicate.
Authorization
To access the service, you have to create an account with your email address, first name and surname. It is possible to login with Facebook or Google.
After that, you should choose the role of student or teacher. In the first case, you will need to provide a link to the shared classroom you want to connect to.
Teachers have the option to create their own spaces for communication. It is possible to choose a school subject.
Interaction
Edmodo allows teachers to publish homework and share it with all their students. Students also have the opportunity to get explanations and answers to their questions. This is similar to the functions in mKool, which is used in Estonian schools.
There is an option to create a timetable and send notifications when classes start. A built-in chat room is also available, allowing teachers to communicate directly with students’ parents. There is a separate tab for current news and educational games.
