FAIRTIQ is an application for Android devices designed to pay for trips. This service operates in some European countries including Switzerland, Germany, Austria, and Liechtenstein. Various types of public transport are supported, including buses, trams, and trains, unlike Trainline.
Getting started
At the start, you need to register by entering a phone number, email address, and some personal data. In addition, it is important to attach a bank card for fast fare payments.
To use the application, you need to swipe the Start button before boarding the vehicle. It is not necessary to specify the destination.
After arriving at your location, please, press the Stop button. The app automatically calculates the cost of your ride. Tickets are displayed on the screen as a QR code. There you can view the point of departure and the validity time.
Fares and locations
You can present tickets to the conductor if it is necessary. There is a possibility to transfer from one type of transport to another. There is a special regime for trips by accompanying persons.
Please note that the application automatically calculates the best available fares for travel. In addition to trains, buses, and trams, boats, ferries mountain railways, and cable cars are available in some locations.
This service operates throughout Switzerland and Liechtenstein on the GA route network. At the same time, residents and guests of Germany and Austria can not use the application in all locations. The list of availability is presented in a separate tab.
