Flightradar24 is an official Android app developed by an eponymous service. With this utility, you can track aircraft movement on a built-in map. It is possible to find out the arrival time and the flight status. You may also access information about the altitude and speed of the airplane.
Flight map
After launching the application, you can open an interactive map that shows all aircraft in flight. Users can select any airliner and find out the following data:
- flight altitude and speed;
- aircraft type, age, and serial number;
- departure and arrival times.
There is an option to see pictures from the plane as well as an access view from the cockpit. The app supports 3D mode. Furthermore, users can save the selected flight for regular tracking.
Augmented Reality
Similar to Dulux Visualizer, this utility supports augmented reality mode. To activate this feature, you have to allow access to the location and camera of your mobile device. Next, you need to point the lens at the plane in the sky. As a result, you may access such information as a flight number and type of aircraft.
Please note that some functions of the utility are available only in the Premium version. It is possible to choose a plan and subscribe.
