GetJar is an application for Android devices that allows you to search in the catalog and download various programs and games. It is an alternative to the well-known Play Store.
Catalog
All applications presented in the catalog are sorted into the following categories:
- games;
- social networks and instant messengers;
- entertaining;
- educational;
- downloaders;
- finance and others.
In a separate tab, there is a list of new, recently added utilities. Each program in the catalog is provided with a detailed description. Its size and compatible version of Android are indicated. Also, there are icons. You can search for applications and games by name, category, and developer.
Users can find here, among other things, those utilities that are not available in official stores.
Downloading
To install the application, you need to tap on the appropriate icon. After that the downloading starts. Its progress is displayed in the notification bar.
The application allows you to update programs automatically. To do this, you need to check the box in the settings.

Please note that this platform is supported by ads. Unfortunately, the application is currently inactive. Apparently, the developers have stopped supporting it.
