Google Play Music is an Android application of Googles official music service. This utility is no longer supported as it was replaced by YouTube Music and Google Podcasts in 2020.
Online
Google Play Music allows users to organize their collections and move them online. The application scans files in your collection and searches for matches in its database. If it finds matches, it then lets you stream this music in 320 kbit per second quality. It is also possible to download such tracks.
The files that do not match will be uploaded by the service and available for you as well. In total, every user can scan and move online up to 50 000 files. By the way, this feature is completely free.
Premium
Google Play Music offers several additional services and functions for the users who paid for a subscription. Firstly, there is online streaming of more than 40 million songs. Secondly, the utility allows you to download any of them and listen offline through the app. Thirdly, there are no advertisements whatsoever, and you can skip as many tracks as you want during listening.
Every new user receives a one time 30 day free trial. It is also worth noting that Google Play Music shares subscriptions with YouTube Premium.
If you have a Huawei or Honor mobile device and have problems with installing official Google services, you may try the OurPlay app.
