IP Webcam is an application for Android devices that allows you to turn your smartphone into a video surveillance camera. You can watch the broadcast in real time from a computer connected to the local network. It is also possible to control playback remotely via Ivideon Server.
Connection
To enable broadcasting, you need to allow access to the camera and internal memory of the smartphone. After that, the IP address will appear on the screen, which has to be entered in the address bar of the PC browser. Both devices have to be connected to the same wireless network. In addition, it is possible to watch videos using the VLC media player.
Settings
The utility allows you to select the quality and format of the video recording. You may select additional information to be displayed on the screen. This can be date, time, coordinates, and battery level.
It is possible to set up video recording in case of motion detection. The app offers to select resolution, white balance, and orientation. To conserve battery power, you can allow the screen to turn off when the camera is not in use.
