IS Supersaa is an Android application that offers users a detailed weather forecast for their chosen location. It is possible to receive notifications about changing weather conditions.
General opportunities
The interface of the utility is available in Finnish, Swedish, and English. A distinctive feature of this app is that it offers users two weather forecasts from different sources. The first one is from the Finnish Meteorological Institute and the second one is from Foreca Weather. Thus, you can get two independent reports and compare them.
Forecast
This service offers a detailed hourly forecast for the next 24 hours. It indicates the temperature, including perceived, as well as the speed and direction of the wind, humidity, precipitation, pressure, and so on. Moreover, there is a tab with weather reports for the next 9 days.
You can select locations on the map or enter them manually. It is possible to save favorite areas and view forecasts for any of them.
Settings
In the Settings section, you can select the units of measurement and the type of notifications you want to receive. The app sends warnings about changes in weather conditions and emergency situations such as storms, forest fires, hurricanes, and so on.
Additionally
There is a widget that displays the current forecast. In addition, this service offers a section with a precipitation map.
Especially for allergy sufferers, a forecast for the pollen in the air is provided. This option is only available to residents of Finland.
