Itsme is an Android application that allows Belgian residents to access their digital ID. You can confirm a payment to the bank, check your insurance, submit a request to your local authority and much more.
Account
In order to access the application, you have to create an account by providing an identification token. You can get one either via your eID or through your bank card. For the former you will need a computer, your eID and a card reader.
The latter requires your bank card and a reader, too. Please note that this option is only available for customers with a Belgian eID with chip. The service is also intended for users from the age of 16.
Digital identity
The application provides Belgian users with quick access to their digital ID. With its help, you can securely login and identify yourself to numerous partners. There are over 800 associates who have already adopted the service signature. These include Proximus, Belfius, Telenet, KBC, and many others. New ones are added on a regular basis.
Moreover, Itsme allows you to log in to the health insurance fund and confirm a payment to the bank. You can also submit an application to your local authority, sign documents, register for websites and do much more.
