MangaDex is an Android application that offers manga fans access to an extensive database of Japanese and Korean comics. All application content is taken from open sources and does not violate copyright.
Categories
It is possible to search and sort manga into categories:
- romantic;
- love;
- fantasy;
- horror;
- science fiction;
- mystic;
- adventure and so on.
Account and search
It is possible to move your favorite comics to the My Library tab. There is a search box with many filters. They allow you to sort manga by artist, language, release year, age limit, format, and so on.
Each comic has images, a short description, and a rating. Registered users can leave comments and participate in discussions. To create an account in the application, they have to specify an email address and select a nickname.
Reading
There is a separate tab for reading manga with various settings. It is possible to change the size of the image, choose the brightness of the screen and the background. There is a dark mode.
Recently viewed comics move to the appropriate tab. The application Menu has a section listing popular web resources for searching manga. Users can choose any of them.
Note
Please note that the app does not perform as advertised. Apparently, the developers stopped supporting it.
