MSQRD is an Android application for applying animated masks. The utility is equipped with realistic face replacement effects that you can use while taking photos and videos.
Catalog
The app has an extensive catalog of interactive masks. Among them you can find an astronaut helmet, night vision goggles, a wreath of flowers, clown makeup, a hat and a Charlie Chaplin mustache. There is an option to apply an animal face, such as a panda, raccoon and polar bear.
All effects are demonstrated in advance of the shoot. You can add the ones you like to your favorites for quick access. It is enough to open the mask and press the button in the form of a heart. In the future, the selected effects will be in a separate tab.
To activate some animated masks you need to perform certain actions. For example, in order to open the glass on the astronaut’s helmet, you have to wave your head. MSQRD automatically shows tooltips in such cases.
Camera
You can use both the front camera and the main one to take pictures, similar to the Snap Filters program. Thanks to this, the utility allows you to put a mask not only on your own face, but also on someone else’s.
With MSQRD you have an opportunity to record video with animated effects for social networks. Please note that the maximum duration of the video is half a minute.
You can save the finished photos and videos to your smartphone or publish them on social networks. The application provides direct uploading to Facebook and Instagram.
