Nocam is an Android application that enhances the authenticity and fun of social networking. It gives you a challenge that you should complete while filming yourself with the camera turned off.
Camera and challenges
This is a video app with a novel idea to make social networking more enjoyable. It accomplishes this by posing a challenge and turning off your phone’s camera. The latter is done so that you can not see how you look while filming. The idea is to reduce the discontent that comes with seeing a preview of your image, which may lead to edits and filters to touch up your appearance.
Nocam sends challenges at least once per day. You can also get them from friends at any time. The prompts will include some random audio clips which are only a maximum of eight seconds in length to keep filming quick. Similar to Straight Outta Meme Maker, here it is possible to add a caption and then share the result through social networks.
Important notes
You will get your first prompt to record a video after authenticating your phone number. The challenges will be system-driven at first, but as you add more friends, you may receive more from them as well. However, please note that the application is only available on iOS at the moment.
