POA is an Android application that provides access to some Ethiopian Embassy services. This utility is the official mobile client of the same web service website. It helps Ethiopians living abroad to communicate with a mainland country. Through this app, they can grant and cancel the power of attorney.
Purposes
According to Ethiopian laws, anyone trying to execute various transactions inside the country must have a proxy. It concerns doing business, making deals, investing, settling family affairs, etc. That is why this utility was developed.
Requests and agents
POA helps users to grant power of attorney and to cancel it. This requires a passport, a driver’s license, or some other documents.
Users can choose an agent and their power. It may be banking, insurance, and much more. In addition, it is necessary to indicate the expiration date of the empowerment. Please note that only a resident of Ethiopia can have a right to become an agent. The application also allows users to revoke the power of attorney.
In both cases, the request must be certified by the Ethiopian Embassy. Users may track the progress through the application.
Account
Registration is required, as well as in Absa app. To create an account, you have to provide a name, email address, and phone number. Next, you will need to enter a verification code from SMS.
