Proton VPN is an Android application that allows users to secure their network connection and remain anonymous while browsing the web. The utility provides access to virtual private networks to bypass regional blocking and censorship.
Secure connection
This application offers many countries where intermediate VPN gateways are located. The number of servers depends on the version of the application you are using. It is important to know that the free package provides access to servers in three countries – Japan, the Netherlands, and the USA.
The Basic Plus option offers 63 locations and over 1800 servers. Users have to buy a subscription to apply for this package.
There is a separate tab that allows you to view a map of the location of paid and free servers. The utility displays the loading of each of them as a percentage.
The utility menu offers to configure the VPN accelerator and select the Quick Connect and Always On options.
Account and anonymity
Please note that authorization is required to use the service. The developers declared complete anonymity. Their app does not save the log files. By transferring data through Proton VPN servers, you leave no traces and remain completely safe.
