PS Remote Play is a Sony application for Android mobile devices. The utility allows you to play games from PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 consoles on your smartphone screen and use your mobile device as a controller to manage them.
Requirements
To begin using this application, you need to own a PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 console with updated software. Additionally, having a PlayStation Network account is mandatory.
High-speed WiFi connection is also required. Mobile data is not suitable enough for this app utility.
Before starting, you will need to pair the console with your mobile device.
Launching Games
PS Remote Play can display games from the console on the smartphone screen. Thus, it is possible to control using the buttons on the screen or via DualShock. It is worth noting that this controller only works with Xperia devices and a few other smartphone models running Android 10.
The second option for using the app is the controller mode. Here, instead of a physical controller, you manage the console using virtual buttons displayed on the smartphone screen.
In this case, the display not only shows elements similar to the buttons of a real controller but also a keyboard for communicating in chats with other members of the PlayStation community.
Voice chats are also supported. Please note that the app usually uses the microphone of the smartphone.
