PyRen – an application for Android that allows you to establish connection with Renault cars and via diagnostics analyze the performance of various vehicle components. You need to have an ELM adapter in order to connect the device.
Error decoding
The main feature of this app is the ability to decode errors detected in the electronic control unit of the car and in other blocks. Usually scanning apps demonstrate only a fault code which is not informative enough and does not help to identify malfunction. PyRen, on the other hand, provides data of error codes and malfunction description.
Verify vehicle mileage
Another interesting feature is an option to verify vehicle mileage correctly. This function is quite helpful in dealing with second hand cars when a real mileage lets you know the condition of a car and its units.
In addition, you can scan the vehicle for any electronic units that keep information about mileage. Please note it is possible to diagnose only Renaul and Dacia cars.
