Quick Share is a file-sharing Android application developed by Samsung. This tool allows users to transfer data easily and quickly between various devices including phones, tablets, laptops, and smartwatches. Professionals can send work-related documents, improving collaboration. It is necessary to turn on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to establish a connection.
Availability
The app is available on all Samsung Galaxy gadgets running Android 10 or One UI 2.0. Quick Share is an alternative to Wi-Fi Direct but is easier to use and does not require your device to connect to a router or the internet. It is possible to eliminate the need for external third-party platforms to transfer data.
File sharing
You can share various files with up to 5 devices simultaneously without pairing them. This feature is helpful during family gatherings, meetings, or collaborative work sessions.
This tool supports almost any kind of file including photos, videos, documents, songs, audio recordings, APKs, and more. Quick Share allows you to send original images without losing quality, just like in CLONEit. The app uses end-to-end encryption during transfers, safeguarding sensitive data from potential unauthorized access.
Please note that information shared via Quick Share has an expiry date of two days, after that, recipients cannot download files. This is done to prevent unwanted parties from copying the data.
Moreover, it is possible to send files to people anywhere in the world using the link sharing feature. This method was earlier available as a separate feature but Samsung merged it with Quick Share.
