Scoutmob is a mobile application for Android devices that offers residents of some US cities useful information about events, activities, concert shops, restaurants, and so on.
How to use
Please note that this service works in the following locations: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Denver, San Francisco, Dallas Seattle, and some others.
To use this application, you have to specify your city. Thus, the utility will be able to select all useful information about that place.
Searching
On the main page of the app, there are two headings – Explorer and Nearby. You can move between them with swipes. The first section allows you to search for restaurants, cafes, and bars located in the city. You can view their position on the built-in map and sort by type of cuisine.
The second heading shows all the sights, as well as shops, restaurants, and so on, which are nearby.
Menu
The application menu allows you to open a tab with a schedule of interesting events planned in your city. In addition, there are collections of useful articles, news, and interviews. There are links to shops that sell local handmade goods.
Note
Unfortunately, the application is not active at the moment. The developers have stopped supporting it.
