Smart Remote is an Android application that is developed by Huawei for its users. It provides a tool to remotely control home devices right from your smartphone.
How to use
In order to use your smartphone as a remote control you have to follow these simple steps. First, you need to add a device you want to connect to. There are several types including TVs, air conditioners, decoders, cameras, projectors and others. Once you have chosen one of the categories, a long list will appear with all the available brands.
The next step is to complete a series of tasks so that your phone can detect what type of signal this specific model uses. You can save the device with a custom name. Now it is possible to change channels, increase or decrease volume and do all of the functions as with the standard remote control.
In case there is no brand or model, the desired device can be added manually. You will have to place a smartphone sensor in front of the standard control to copy its signal. Then you need to name and save it.
Note
Please note that in order to be able to use the app, a Huawei or Honor smartphone is required. This device also must come with an infrared sensor since it is used as a connection method.
