SoundHound is an Android application with which you can recognize songs. The utility allows you to find out the composition title and the artist’s name. It is possible to add the track to Spotify and watch the video clip on YouTube.
Recognition
To use the app, you need to grant access to the microphone. Then you have to bring the smartphone as close to the speaker as possible while playing a track. Please note that a stable network connection is required to search for information.
After a while, the artist’s name, as well as the name of the track and album, will appear on the screen. You get access to an introductory fragment of 30 seconds. It is also possible to sing the melody yourself. In addition, the utility allows you to read the lyrics of the song. For this, integration with the Google search engine is implemented.
Settings
Search history is stored in a separate tab. It is possible to automatically add a track to a playlist after recognition. With the application, you can share the song with your friends on social media such as Twitter, Facebook, and so on. At the same time, there is an option to add information about your location.
There are lists of the most popular and most often searched songs. The utility allows you to select a genre and listen to tracks.
