swisstopo is an Android application designed for travel in Switzerland. The utility contains detailed topographic maps of the country at various scales.
Maps and routes
It is possible to look for hiking and skiing routes, as well as tourist trails and public transport stops. In addition to modern topographic maps, the utility contains their historical versions. Aerial photography data is also available.
You can view hiking and mountain trails. Road maps with indications of public transport stops are presented. You can lay your own routes and create hiking, cycling, or mountain tours.
The application determines the distance, travel time, elevation, direction, and so on. It is possible to set markers, add notes, and attach photos. A panoramic view of the area is provided. Created tours can be shared with the extensive community.
All maps are available in offline mode. You can report inaccuracies.
Additionally
A search of geographical names, addresses, and coordinates is provided. Moreover, the application contains aeronautical charts with indications of landing sites and obstacles. You can learn about the limitations of aircraft models and drones.
