The Weather Network is An Android application that contains an accurate weather forecast that is updated every 15 minutes. This utility is the official mobile client of the web resource of the same name. It is possible to choose the location manually or using GPS navigation.
Account and region
This service can be used without registering. At the same time, you need to specify the region of residence or enable geolocation. Account holders can interact with the community and share photos and videos about the weather in their region.
It is possible to select several locations, one of which will be the main one. Information about the basic area is presented on the home page of the app. You can view the temperature and cloud cover.
Forecast
There are tabs with a more detailed forecast – hourly, for 7 days, and for 14 days. You may find information about temperature, humidity, precipitation, wind speed and direction. You can scroll through the list using swipes.
Additional options
In addition, there is a tab with visual hourly graphs of precipitation, temperature, and humidity. They change at intervals of 10 to 15 minutes. Furthermore, a map with several layers is presented. It allows you to view information from radars and satellites.
The app interface is available in English and French. There is a tab with the latest news about the weather. It is possible to receive notifications about changes in climatic conditions, as well as various extreme events – thunderstorms, hurricanes, storms, and so on.
