WICShopper is an app for Android, designed to receive federal assistance to low-income families in the United States. The service allows pregnant and lactating women, as well as babies and children, to participate in the WIC program.
Requirements
Please note that this application is currently working in 38 US states, including Florida, Colorado, Montana, Nevada, and many others. The geography of the service is constantly expanding.
Only registered members of The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children can use the utility.
How to participate
At the start, you need to register your eWIC card and then view your benefits. It is possible to scan product barcodes and check if they meet the requirements of the WIC program.
In addition, you can check whether you have enough benefits to purchase certain items during a given month. The app indicates the number of products that can be purchased before the end of the period.
What’s more, you can view your future benefits. The service also offers you a built-in calculator to determine the available number of goods.
The application has a general list of allowed foods. There is also a section with useful recipes for mothers and children. They are developed according to the principles of healthy eating and on the basis of approved products.
Additionally, you can find the addresses and contacts of the nearest offices of the above-mentioned program.
