WooMe is an Android music recognition app that allows you to find songs by recording and analyzing the sound. In addition, here you can search for TV shows, trailers, and other content.
Usability
The sound recognition is quite simple and intuitive. All you have to do is launch the app whenever you need to find out the name of music, TV programs, and other content.
To start recognition, it is necessary to tap the button on the WooMe page. The utility will immediately start listening to the sound surrounding your device. As a result, the content title will appear on the screen.
All previous searching results are sorted by sections like Videos, Pictures, Music, etc.
In general, the main feature of WooMe is also available in Ok Google app. Though here you have to ask the voice assistant to recognize the song or other sounds.
Issues
The registration in the app is optional. The developer’s team claims that you can sign up with Facebook and Twitter accounts for unlimited sound tagging.
During the testing of the app, we could not manage to skip login due to some technical issues. Moreover, there was no option to sign up with mentioned social media accounts. Unfortunately, both Facebook and Twitter do not allow login to the app for security reasons.
Keep in mind that all mentioned technical issues might be temporary. Thus, you can try logging in despite our experience.
