Functionality
It is an official service by Microsoft that may turn smartphones into a remote controller for Xbox 360. There is an option to play videos and music on a console. During playback users can adjust volume level, click on pause and skip forward or backward. Moreover, It is possible to look for a content by entering its name on a search bar.
More than just controlling TV content
What makes Xbox SmartGlass convenient is that in addition to playing videos and music, you can also navigate the web and use interesting features of Xbox 360. There is an option to browse websites, go to streaming services and even launch the apps. Moreover, the utility allows you to view game recordings from the console. Current state
Please note that the application was shut down by Microsoft in 2018. There is no option to sign in or create a new account. When you launch Xbox SmartGlass it will be connecting to services and suddenly crash after sometime.
