CC Recycles is an application for Android designed to help residents of Corpus Christi recycle more effectively. This utility is a part of Recycle Right program, a city-wide initiative to improve the habits of citizens through education and outreach.

Recycling is an important part of the environment protecting and natural resources preserving. The goal of the app is to reduce the amount of trash in carts, which improves the quality and value of regenerating materials.
Opportunities
The utility offers several features that help citizens to learn about recycling. There is the ability to download the electronic collection schedule into iCal, Google Calendar, or other appropriate apps. Users can also set up reminders about the time of collection of garbage and recyclable materials.
Additionally, the app has a search function that allows users to look up waste materials to learn how they can be remanufactured, composted, or disposed of in the City of Corpus Christi. There is a Wizard tab for this. Here you can enter the name of the item in a special window and determine in which trash cart it can be put. Moreover, CC Recycles includes garbage, recycling, and bulky collection timetables based on the citizens’ addresses.
