EHTERAZ is an Android application with which residents and guests of Qatar can track contacts with users who get a coronavirus infection. The utility stores information about the vaccination status and contains useful information about the disease.
How it works
This application works using Bluetooth. Special technology allows smartphones to exchange anonymous identifiers with each other. As a result, the utility determines whether you have been in close contact with people infected with COVID-19.
In addition, the app notifies users about places where the risk of infection is high. The utility also stores a QR code that contains data about the status of the disease or vaccination. This information is taken from the users’ medical records.
Useful notes
Please note that the application can only be entered by registered clients. They need to indicate their personal data and ID. Information about vaccination and infection is anonymous. It is not transferred to third parties and is not stored on external servers. The smartphone uses it to form a Bluetooth ID and share it with other people’s devices.
Statistics and notifications
Additionally, the application stores incidence statistics in the Info tab. There is a separate section for information about vaccines. It is possible to set up notifications about contact with infected people.
