In order to get started, you need to sign in first. You can use your Government Gateway account for this purpose. If you don’t have one, registration is easy and fast. You will have to provide your National Insurance number and birth date.
Once you are set up, you can sign in quickly and securely using your face, fingerprint or iris depending on the device support.

This application is made by a non-ministerial department of the UK Government responsible for the collection of taxes and issuance of national insurance numbers. With the help of the service, you will be able to check your next salary from your employer. It is also possible to view how much you owe and make a payment.
The service allows you to find out how much Income Tax you should pay. You may manage and renew your credits. Similar to TaxSlayer, it is possible to claim a refund in case you have paid too much. You can also check progress on forms you have sent to HMRC and read messages. Some of the options may be accessed without signing in, such as a tax calculator.
