Hue Sync is an Android app made to be used in conjunction with the eponymous Philips products. You can quickly set up and control your lights.
Lighting settings
The utility is made to be used with Philips Hue smart lighting products. Its main purpose is to synchronize lights with your multimedia content. By analyzing the colors and brightness of your movies, music, or games, the app creates corresponding lighting effects on your Hue lamps.
Hue Sync offers different synchronization modes to suit your preferences. The “Subtle” preset creates a harmonious atmosphere, while the “Moderate” one intensifies the effects to be more noticeable. The “High” mode produces lighting that closely follows the on-screen action.
You can adjust brightness, saturation, and transition speed as well as choose different color palettes. The app also supports multiple Hue lights and room grouping, allowing you to synchronize lighting throughout your home.
How to set up
To use the utility, you should connect it to your Hue Bridge and sync box. It communicates with your Hue lights over Wi-Fi and thus, requires a stable connection. You can then control lamps via mobile software, an on-product button, any TV remote, or a voice assistant, such as Amazon Alexa.
