KATSU Anime is an application for Android devices that allows users to select from a catalog and watch anime series and movies. It offers access only to video content hosted in the public domain.
Anime catalog
The application does not require registration. Users get access to a catalog of anime that can be sorted by genre:
- romantic;
- horror;
- mystic;
- adventure;
- fantasy and many others.
There is a separate tab for searching the desired videos by titles and keywords. All found matches are displayed on the screen as a list.
Claimed opportunities
At the top of the catalog are the latest added episodes. There is a Favorites tab. Here users can locate the most interesting series marked with a heart. There are also sections for already-watched anime and those that are in progress. Developers declare the possibility of downloading videos for offline viewing. There is a built-in player.
Remark
During testing, it was noticed that the application does not perform the declared functions. Informational messages appear on its main page, and after that users are invited to watch ads. Each further action inside the utility is accompanied by viewing commercial videos. Content is not available.
