Kuwait Mobile ID is an Android application made for Kuwait’s citizens and residents by the Public Authority for Civil Information. It is possible to digitally sign electronic documents and transactions, similar to itsme.
Get started
In order to get started, you have to register first. For this purpose, you should scan your CIvil ID NFC chip with your phone. This way the data fields will be automatically filled with card’s info. Or, you can manually enter the details, if you wish so.
Then, it is necessary to verify your identity by taking a selfie. The next step is to confirm your phone number through OTP. Lastly, you need to generate a PIN code.
Digital ID
The application is considered as a digital Civil ID and an identity proof. The platform allows citizens and residents of the State of Kuwait to access different e-services. With its help, it is possible to remotely sign electronic documents and transactions.
Additionally, Kuwait Mobile ID has your COVID-19 vaccine status, including details of your doses. There is also a credential wallet, where all of your government issued documents are stored. It is possible to pass the verification for each through QR Code.
