MetService NZ Weather is an Android application that provides residents of New Zealand with access to up-to-date weather forecasts. Users can select a location using GPS navigation or manually.
Forecasts
On the main page, the app displays the current weather for the area you have chosen. Here you can view:
- minimum and maximum temperatures;
- a brief description of the current weather conditions;
- the temperature at the moment and “feels like”;
- recommendations for the selection of clothing;
- forecast in pictures for morning, afternoon, and evening.
You can track the current weather conditions in more detail, similar to BOM Weather. A separate page displays information about pressure, humidity, dew point, precipitation, and so on.
There is a section where an hourly forecast for 48 hours is presented. It displays wind direction and speed, temperature as well as the probability and amount of precipitation.
In addition, there is a general forecast for the next 3 days indicating the minimum and maximum temperatures. There is also a description of the weather conditions at night, in the morning, at lunchtime, and in the evening.
Additionally
Another tab offers users a radar map of precipitation that changes in real-time mode. The application sends clients notifications about a sharp change in climate conditions, as well as about various extreme moments. Additionally, you can view Live Traffic cameras. There is a widget for a smartphone desktop that displays the current situation.
