How to use
It is worth noting that this service can only be used by residents of Nigeria who have been assigned a national identification number. In fact, NIN is a digital identity card.
To use this app you need to provide your eleven-digit national identification number. Also, you have to enter the phone number that you provided when registering your NIN. To prevent third parties from gaining access to your personal data, it is important to protect the entrance to the utility with a PIN code.
Opportunities
This tool allows you to identify yourself when entering various government and medical services, similar to Kuwait Mobile ID. You can use a built-in QR code scanner for this. Additionally, you may attach up to 28 phone numbers to your NIN. It is possible to specify a list of your dependents.
In the future, the developers plan to add the following extended options to the application:
- obtaining digital certificates of tax exemption;
- registration of a driver’s license in digital form;
- obtaining electronic health cards;
- registration of exit documents.
