My BMW is an Android application designed to set up remote access to a car of the same brand. This convenient tool allows you to control various electronic systems on board the vehicle.
Access and modes
With the app, you can manage your vehicle remotely. The main features of Control mode are:
- locking and unlocking doors:
- launching the climate control system;
- checking tire pressure;
- reading information from sensors, including data on mileage, oil, fuel, and charge levels.
The utility also allows you to use a digital key to open the car, which you can, if necessary, share with friends.
There is a built-in map that allows you with GPS navigation, to look for the nearest parking lots, as well as gas and charging stations. In addition, there is a car search mode.
Another interesting option of the app is the Planning mode. It allows you to estimate how far the charge or fuel level will last and calculates where you will have to stop next time. Moreover, you can view the nearby attractions and places for rest. It is possible to assess the situation on the roads, monitor traffic, and so on.
Additional options
The application informs car owners about the need to update software for electronic systems. It also notifies users when maintenance is due. There is an opportunity to accumulate points and spend them on additional charging of your electric vehicle. This option is currently available in several European countries.
